Here is a pic as requested. i really like that view. And the slopes i used to be scared of:eek:, and really not an issue anymore:D. This unit with the super turfs is very, very stable:rolleyes:!

Yeah, those are some BIG, HONKIN' tires! Your pounds per square inch imprint must be pretty low.

Did you go through the process of figuring out the "percentage front slippage", etc. when you considered getting the bigger tire/rim combination?

Here is what it looked like before the switch! In this configuration, the ride was stiffer and the tires slipped in the snow. I actually cannot wait until the winter when I can test it out. Also my wife is wanting a patio next to the deck, and I am really thinkng about going ahead and doing it with rocks and gravel.

also let me tell you, switching tires by myself was tough, as the tires were tough to move and position by myself without a winch - which I am seriously thinking about getting!

Yep, sure did, Just kidding, I used the chicken switch- o -meter - got scared, looked at the cost of hub extenders (~700 bucks), and the deal on the tires, and went for the tires first. I happen to get a hold of a good set of these tires, barely used for $700 bucks Worked out great! See the diff between the original R3s and the super turfs in this shot.

hey Nuru : Those sure look like they will cut down on compaction. I was told when I bought my tractor that all manufactures try to keep the psi that is the total ground compacted area at 7 psi . That said is why the bigger deeres have gone with a higher tire. I've really been watching and I don't think my 3520 packs the grass anymore than my x495 did. Thanks for the photo Nuru

Nuru --- did the new tire setup change anything for the MFWD? Some limited discussion on this forum about how different tire sizes changes the "front wheel slip rate".

That is quite interesting as my taller tires do compact the grass more than these. The tracks were much deeper and longer lasting. So it seems that Deere must have also done somethig else on the 3520s:confused:?

AKfish, I get a lot more traction and less slippage on slopes than I did before with the 4310, and also the 4100.
