Tractor
Jinma 284
Just bought 9 acres in Washington and need to push dirt around and brush hog to eventually do the 'hobey farm' thing. Limited budget but only want to buy one time. Considering Jinma 284 with factory loader for $9500 plus tax = $10260, Jinma 204 with Koyker 140 loader for $8400 tax free in Oregon, or demo Kama 304 with loader for $10900 plus tax = $11772. Prices seem high but not a lot of competition in this market place. Advice? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Hey Mantis,

It sounds like you are a perfect candidate for the Kama 354C that East Winds in New York was selling for 6K.

Have a nice day,

If you have 9 acres to work a Jinma 284 would do the trick.I wouldn't want to go any smaller as the projects only get bigger and a 284 or bigger would do it.I have the Chinese loader on my 284 and for me it's great, some like the Koyker but it depends on what you need it for. You can find prices all over the scale.depends on how much you need to depend on the dealer or how confident you are mechanically.

thanks for input. dealer says he will stand behind product and stocks parts. I guess can't be sure until after fact, He says he imports them whole instead of in crates because of better reliability?

And yeah,,I mow more than 9 acres with my 254 jinma plus got a 1/2 acre garden,,,never lack for power,,,but don't have a fel on mine,,,I beleve they make good loose dirt movers at this size,,but they are not bulldozers,,if you know what I mean,,,thingy

I am realitivly new to all this. I have a Jinma 204 2 cylinder which I use on my five acres. Fairly level property with horses, pasture and about an acre in trees. I was over run with blackberries expecially in the wooded area - the whole acre was consumed with as high as 8 feet. The jinma has handled it all. I went for the 204 because I have some small areas to mow and wanted turning radius. Pull a 4 foot BH with no problem Had the koyker 140 loader installed and also purchased a box blade. Have used them all and they have all done their job. Blackberries are piled waiting to burn. Areas are leveled and pastures mowed and looking good - there is always something to do with it. Some minor problems but Dustin at Adams Tractors in the Dalles looked after me - including a house call for a freak Steering cyclinder problem. He is also very high on the KAMA and likes it a lot.
Just my thoughts.
Cheers
John

Thanks for input, Dustin is the one I was considering if I go with 204. Good to know he stands by them. It is about 2 grand cheaper than 284 if I consider no tax in Oregon.

Hey Mantis,

The Deals are out there, but you have to be either willing to go get the tractor or have it shipped to you.

Think of it as an adventure and either hop on a plane and rent a uhaul truck/trailer or use your own truck/trailer or have it shipped to you.

Just like jobs, you have to be willing to go to where the deals are.

Have a nice day,

Henry at Coldwater tractor is still there, call him at 360-533-2160. Great guy , Best price I could find anywhere. I had to get a part from him after the sale and he had it delivered at no cost to me ASAP. I am very happy with all aspects of this deal. Scott /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

This is so wierd. I live in the same town as Ray and Coldwater, but wouldn't have found him without you guys. I spoke to Ray today and am seeing him tomorrow. H e doesn't advertise locally, on purpose, because he gets too many lookers vs buyers here. Thanks for the help. He recommends the 185 Jinma's he has in stock. Any input. Under 6 grand with loader, I think.

Glad you got a hold of them Ray and Henery are good people. You will need to go over the tractor when you get it change the fluids and check the bolts and stuff. But they will support you. Tell them scott from Boring Oregon say's Hi. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Dekay Rd and the moon are just about the same when it comes to remote locations. The 184 will do all the tasks you have mentioned in all of your posts.
Not only is Ray a good guy he is probably one of the smartest businessmen I have ever met. He will get you going.

Thanks again for the help. I use to live about two miles from Dekay Rd. and three from Ray's place. This was twelve years ago before Ray moved here. Small world.
