After looking long and hard, I found a new (built Dec 2012) 5065e with 0.5 hrs on it. I bought it. I am having a closer dealer pick it up (dealer transfer) tomorrow and install 553 loader with global carrier and HD bucket. I am buying from another dealer a Bush Hog 296 new. And from a 3rd dealer a Woods 7 foot disc harrow about 1 yr old in great shape. The tractor qualifies for 0% for 60 mos and I got the Frontier middle buster (250) which qualifies as 2nd implement for 1500 rebate along with loader. I should get tractor and loader next week. My worries about possibly getting the more complex emissions hardware are over. I appreciate all the advice so far and am sure I will be asking questions in future. My needs are to maintain logging road beds and fire breaks on 80 acres of loblolly pines with some wildlife openings (food plots) to plow and plant. There are hardwoods along some drains and some naturally regenerating areas (about 20 acres). No pastures. I turn 55 this month and never owned a tractor. I am feeling kinda manly knowing I won't need to hire someone to bush hog and plow for the first time. Am I wrong? There is nothing like having your own piece of ground. I appreciate God has loaned it to me for a while. I take care of it and it provides much fun hunting and family together time.
