Picked it up this moning...16'x82" with sides, tool box, LED's, lift assist gate and powdercoat...Pretty much everything I have been looking for....I know that some don't like gates, but for my purposes, this works perfectly...If I have to put a large car on it, I'll probably have to remove the gate...No big deal...If I find myself hauling cars more than a few times, I'll adapt ramps to it and that should take care of it..I did notice the drag coming down the turnpike at 70mph due to the gate but that is a non-issue to me as I plan to use this mostly locally..If I have to run it on the interstate once in a while, I'll deal with the gas consumption.

It's too beautiful to get scratched up. Never seen one with the solid sides before. Very nice.

What are the axle capacities?
How much did they want for it?

2x3500#--7,000#....Paid apx 2800 not including the spare tire...The tire mount was already on the trailer, so I paid the buck twenty for the tire....Wish it matched..A cover will take care of that.

Does the tailgate have angle iron on it or is it 2x2 box? I can't really tell from the pictures. The reason I ask is that my 16ft landscape trailer has angle and I have to make sure I drive on it when I drive up on to the trailer. Other wise the expanded metal bends as it isn't to thick. I've been planning on welding some 2x2 square on the tailgate in places to beef it up some but haven't done it yet.

The gate is 2" box tube, the top is "L" channel...Have to see where my stuff lines up, but from other trailers I''ve used they tend to hit the tubing and not the center of the mesh.

Nice trailer for a real nice price. Great score timswi !!!!

Thanks....I couldn't really compare prices since I couldn't find this setup anywhere else..Based on other trailers, it seemed reasonable.

Nice. Never seen a factory built one with solid sides.

Very nice trailer!

I think if/when we get a trailer it will be something like that, so I have a few questions if you don't mind:

Why did you get the solid sides? Are you planning on hauling loose materials? I assume you are using it to haul your BX also. I was thinking about the solid sides because if you haul loose materials, you could probably just drive up the gate and use the FEL to unload the materials. That's why I liked this general trailer design when I was browsing around looking for a "future toy". ;)

Also, do you know off hand what the D-rings are rated for? Strong enough for a BX?

Thanks in advance.

Have fun waxing it!

Using this trailer for the BX and the RTV mainly...Don't have a rating on the D rings, but I would think that they would handle the max 5K I can put in the tailer based on weld quality and the size of the rings. I have smaller ones on a similar utility trailer and I tied off my RTV500 with no problem.

Reason for the sides is that I wanted the trailer for more than equipment hailing...Moving people, hualing loose material etc will work on this..Open and closed sides each have their advantages, this will serve my purposes.

Chris

Thanks...It was a special order..Not by me, but it had everything I wanted...18 or 20' would have been better but it'll do what I need it to do.

Got tired of borrwing one...My dad alwas said, 'if you have to borrow it more than once, go buy one"...I kind do that with everything now.:drink:
