I will be in need of adding drainage tile to a 6acre vineyard in Connecticut before I plant the vines. I have seen that there are machines that can plow and lay tile continuously while maintaining a drainage slope. Anyone know of companies/people in the northeast, specifically CT, that can do this work with one of these machines? Thank you.

Try checking with the farm supply stores in your area. Especially the ones that offer fertilizer spraying. They would know who to contact...

VABlue - Thanks for the suggestion but not too many farm supply stores in my area. But you did give me the suggestion to check with the CT Cooperative Extension.

Those tile machines work best in sand/loam soil. Rocks can mung up the whole operation quickly. Find an excavator with a good reputation and a good hoe. I'm here in NY and the guy I hire can lay/backfill while using gravel 75-100 ft an hour. This is a two man crew. Mike

you could try decran ag supplies or crop production in our area ct. although i think an excavator would be your best bet being that there's rocks and such in our area. you could also try the extension center in brooklyn. good luck, jim
