Are Ferguson TO-35 good tractors? I have found a good looking little Ferguson. I will mainly need it for light work and hooking up a bush hog. Are parts hard to find?

Few questions....Is is gas or diesel? Is it a "Delux TO-35"?...reason is if its a Delux it has a two stage clutch (this is a good thing)...if its a gas engine its a Z134 Continental...parts are readily available for this tractor....NOW...if its a diesel, it is a 4 cyl "Standard" diesel...these may be harder to find parts for....suggest you go to tractordata.com and look this up....lots of info..also go down the forums below to the Massey Ferg. stuff...mucho help down there... good luck. The machine looks good. It has been taken care of. The engine smokes a little and the steering has significant play in it but it is in good condition. He wants $3000.

hm.. smokes and loosey goosey steering.. i'd want to have plenty less than 3K$ in it at the start.
i had a TO 35 w/std 4cyd diesel for 28 yrs. purchased w/engine rebuild for 3k in '78. good solid tractor, yes, had to have steering worked on & it was smoking when i traded it in (for $1800 credit). the std. diesel is hard starting. sometimes used either but of course beware of that. and yes, parts for that engine will continue to be hard to find, probably through salvage. so my guess is iffy, try to talk down, you could be out that much trying to get it up to speed. good luck
