I need some help with assembly!

Anyone know if it is shiny side up or down? Reason I ask is there's a groove in the shiny side. Started assembly with shiny side up before I saw the groove. I think the groove is to allow it to bend down at the edges. So I'm thinking shiny side down. I think I'm going to have to force the bend with some 2 x 4's to make the hardware fit. This is the larger of the two sun shades. Can't say I'm much impressed with the directions. 😕😠

Pictures would help.

Found this on an image search, so don't understand your question:

Went to their Website, all of the different types look like they only can go one way.

Did you download the instructions? Sun Shades

All of their Tuff Tops seem to be painted, so guess you don't have that:

I have two of the Femco Tuff Tops and I put the shiny side down on them.

Thanks. I finally went shiny side down. Used some ratchet straps to get the bend and went right together. Still think their instructs could be better!

I agree. I went step by step and wasn't sure if I was doing it right or not until I was done with it. I'm on my third year with them, and still think it's the best deal out there!!!!

I'm with Xfaxman... we want pics! :)

( pics of pigs don't count!)

Odd question.... does this add any height above ROPS? My tractor fits in barn by a hair. Adding much height would make it not fit.

I'm sure that I have better pics somewhere, but at least this one shows the Tuff Top and how much height it adds to the top of the ROPS. I'm guessing 3 to 4 inches.

That looks like an " O crap!" picture Eddie.

Yeah, I do this way too often. For whatever reason, I never seem to learn that if I get too close to the water, I will get stuck.

I was considering a canopy for my JD 6200. Not so much for sun, but to keep the seat from getting wet. Anybody regret no longer being able to stand up?

The Tuff Top on my small tractor. It makes a huge different when out during the heat of the day!!!

I never thought of standing while using my tractor, so that wasn't a consideration. I have been out on it when rains started, and you still get wet, but not very much.

Wasn't so worried about standing but I was very pleased to find that getting in and out of the seat was no problem. Was somewhat concerned I'd have to "duck" or hit my head but no issues at all in that regard.

I was wondering about that too.

I love an open station tractor. I love working outdoors. Being in a cab isn't working outdoors. But getting caught in a downpour isn't very nice. It happened on the weekend. Just didn't see it coming at all.

Mine's more about getting some shade in 90 degree weather. Makes a huge difference.

That is exactly what I would want one for. Been mowing and doing other work in 90 degrees the past couple days. Miserable.

I have to at times. Figuring out where tips of pallet forks are by sense of smell wasn't working out so well :)

It mounts on top of your ROPS. Figure two or three inches above the top of the ROPS. Can you see if that gives you the standing headroom you want? You can also angle it down, or in your case, up a pretty good bit which would give you more room. I've got standing room (just) on my 37 HP tractor

Seeing the fork tips is my issue as well. Maybe a retractable sun roof in the canopy.
