Femco Sun Shade Assembly

I need some help with assembly!


Anyone know if it is shiny side up or down? Reason I ask is there's a groove in the shiny side. Started assembly with shiny side up before I saw the groove. I think the groove is to allow it to bend down at the edges. So I'm thinking shiny side down. I think I'm going to have to force the bend with some 2 x 4's to make the hardware fit. This is the larger of the two sun shades. Can't say I'm much impressed with the directions.

All of their Tuff Tops seem to be painted, so guess you don't have that:

I have two of the Femco Tuff Tops and I put the shiny side down on them.

Thanks. I finally went shiny side down. Used some ratchet straps to get the bend and went right together. Still think their instructs could be better!

I agree. I went step by step and wasn't sure if I was doing it right or not until I was done with it. I'm on my third year with them, and still think it's the best deal out there!!!!

Odd question.... does this add any height above ROPS? My tractor fits in barn by a hair. Adding much height would make it not fit.

I'm sure that I have better pics somewhere, but at least this one shows the Tuff Top and how much height it adds to the top of the ROPS. I'm guessing 3 to 4 inches.

Yeah, I do this way too often. For whatever reason, I never seem to learn that if I get too close to the water, I will get stuck.
