I just inherited a 4 cylinder Super A tractor. I can get it to run by spraying starter fluid in the air intake side of the carburetor. I am not getting a good flow out the bottom of the carburetor so I am sure it is stopped up inside. I was wondering where is the best place to purchase a carburetor for this tractor. I have seen them listed online from $50 all the way up to $300. Thanks

Before buying another carb., remove the elbow where the fuel line attaches to the carb. There should be a strainer on the other end. Sounds like it'splugged. Remove, and backflush with spray carb.cleaner. Re-install,and check for fuel flow.

That and a rebuild kit should be enough if just that doesn't work... It's a simple carb, some carb cleaner, a tooth brush (probably not necessary) and a piece of wire along with the rebuild kit (likely just the gasket and a float needle) and you should be good to go. I've made a gasket out of a cereal box for similar and that worked fine...
