I adapted a forklift attachment to the PT180 quick attach plate and went to try it out before a (someday) flat black paint job. It lifted a boulder that I couldn't roll into the bucket. The forks slid under without pushing the boulder away, and the ability to tilt it so far back made it so the weight was more manageable even know the rear was light. I could only make gradual turns or the rear tire(s) would lift.

I loaded the Kubota bucket. The Power trac didn't tear up the grass like the Kubota would have done and the wide bucket would have made a mess getting the boulder in it.

Which springs are you referring too?

I think he's looking at the springs for the attachment locks.

Those springs might be providing downward pressure on the pins on the quick attach plate.

Yes, the economy PT180 has a manual locking quick connect. You have to manually pull up on the pins, twist a few degrees to lock in the up position, then change your attachment. When changed, just give a slight twist, and the springs push the pins down to lock in the new attachment. It is so easy I forgot to do it once with the mower and when I got to the area and floated the loader arms, the mower started off in its own direction.....for a micro second it was WHAT IS GOING ON HERE????

Don't feel bad... I've done that with several attachments on my 425.

I've done it with the mower and a bucket. And forks.
