L3240
Just received my new 3240 about 6 weeks ago. I am liking it a lot. I need some extra lights on the back and some on the outsides of the bucket.

There is an excellent Kubota forum here on TBN. Perhaps you may find answers to your inquires there. :tractor::welcome:

There are several threads about putting lights on this model of tractor. You will find several different ways to moung the lights and switches.

I found out today the dealer does sell an auxiliary work light for the back that connects directly to the wiring harness. While looking at this I found there to be nuts welded to the front side of the roll bar on the front side. A person can make some L brackets and hang the lights on there facing forward up high. The only problem I see is they will be behind the operator and may have some glare. There are 2 more outlets in the factory wiring harness also right there on the right side of the seat just in front of the tool box.

I am installing LED work lights using the forward mounting holes in the ROPS bracket where it folds. I am also adding a rear LED work light using the factory mounting location behind the seat. They are 1100 lumens each and will work fine with the low output dynamo and straight off a switch without a relay.

I'll post pics and give a subjective report on perceived glare soon.

I intend to add my aux lights to the loader mounts. I didn't want them in back of me on the ROPS. My plain is to install a DPDT switch in the headlight circuit. This way I could select the factory headlights or my aux. lights, and I won't need to run another circuit. I'll be able to choose one or the other, but not both at the same time.

I seldom use this tractor at night - at least going forward. This should do it for me. Pictures of the installed lights are below. I'll take some outdoor night time pics soon.

Here is a place to find your ROPS mounted light brackets:
www. tractorcabdepot.com, these are what I am looking at for my tractor.
no drilling and get the lights with the built in on/off switch. and Napa sells the lights with the built in switch.
