I am coming along fairly well.

I think you are making great progress. Your decision to add a spring to hold the latch is probably a good choice too. Are the ball ends on youur OEM lower links at that much of an angle?

Yes, I coppied the angle exactly from the existing ball ends. It actually looks worse than it really is. The tab on the new ball ends that you weld to are at an angle from the ball end so I turned them to give me the most weld surface. My next problem is that Tractor Supply doesn't have anymore ball ends in stock so I'm at a stand still for a few days. I originally only bought 2 to make sure it all worked before I invested too much money. I did however install the side I had finished to make sure it all lined up right, and it did, amazingly enough. A little grinding and paint and 1 side will be done, the other side is now complete except welding on the ball ends. Total cost so far is $57.00, with 2 more ball ends and paint I will still be under $100.00.
