Just a little example of why you should always check your load and permits before heading out with an over sized load -

In many states ticket revenue get partially turned back to PD for training etc. Local newspaper offered a story about how New Hampshire is projected to step up enforcement to ease their budget crisis. I don't know whether this was a dropped load or just no permits. Permits are primarily a revenue stream. Not many trucks on the road with 200+K loads. We move loads like that at my workplace so I know what they look like.

$37K will buy a lot of donuts & is much easier than going after drug dealers. MikeD74T
