Everything is cyclical. Just ask the people in the lumber business. Those who paid big bucks for lumber a Month or so ago are hating life about now.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is just wait it out. Trying to 'time the market' is mostly a fool's errand, it's just that you can't panic every time there's a price increase, a shortage, or a run on something.

Same thing is gonna happen here. Competition will appear out of nowhere, demand will slow, raw material prices will drop, people who actually need to pay the rent now will be looking for work...... It's all cyclical.
Sometimes conditions do not allow for time to "wait it out".

I cancelled my grapple order that should have been delivering in the next 2 weeks when I learned that it wasn’t…..and that I’d be lucky to have it before the snow flies.
I held off on my grapple projects all summer thinking I’d still be able to get them done before winter in spite of the crazy lead time.
I might order from EA again one day when I hear they get their **** together, but maybe not too.

Given that they keep expanding, it seems that their problem is more too much demand than them being disorganized.

They can expand on the interest earned from someone else’s money for now.

Compared to what other grapple you may purchase, I believe that your impatience was a mistake!
Good things are usually worth waiting for,..... and EA builds good stuff!

Seldom is that the case. Especially when the 'conditions' are completely artificial, as they are now.
So.......I recently discovered ten sheets of rotting T-111, that must be replaced to avoid water damage to my storage building and/or contents.
I will soon be leaving for 8 months (long Winter).
How long do you think I should wait for "conditions" to improve?
When will damage to my building and/or contents become serious?
I will not return until May 2022.

Yes, there is no supply chain interruption. It is all being fabricated so manufacturers can only work a few hours a week and fish the rest of the time. Makes total sense to me now. Thank goodness for the few on TBN to enlighten the rest of us to the truth.
;)

I was talking macro, you're talking micro.

How about when you lose a radiator hose and the clamp has gone up thirty-seven cents because of steel prices? Drive it until you blow your engine??

I was talking about places like EA making big commitments to big steel purchases when the pricing is out of control.

quibbling seems to be the norm on message boards these days

How did you get yours already when I ordered my Wicked 55 on April 23? Mine is SSQA, and I assume yours is the JD version?

Guy's just be patient , it will get there , and once you see it ,
You will appreciate the wait. I got my 55 wickeder root Grapple
today , I paid extra and had it delivered right to my drive way ,
and used my JD 2520 and pallet forks to set it off. the Quality seems
amazing , and yes the wait was long , i ordered on April 28th , and
it came today , Travis was very nice , i would call him every 3 weeks
and pester the crap out of him..;) till it got here. I had a wrong fitting , Called 5 mins after the truck left , and he said it would be in the mail ASAP. I am very happy with it , Now to install My Diverter
kit and do some work. Here is a few pics of my new Toy.... :D

You probably had to call him every 3 weeks and make a pest of yourself. Squeaky wheel theory.

Some of the osb at the bottom of my shed is rotted so bad there are holes. I’m not buying it at crazy prices.

I have valuable equipment inside, so I do not have the luxury of waiting for lumber prices to fall.
I need make certain that I keep animals out, and that the building stays dry inside.
I will not be present for 8 months, to watch/wait for problems to occur.

I'm wondering the same thing. I ordered April 19th. Mine is SSQA as well. Now I'm getting frustrated. I was told Aug 17 that it would be 1-2 more months.

If they can't build 'em any faster, they can't build 'em any faster!
If you cancel, it will certainly help someone else to get an earlier delivery.

OH, I'm not cancelling. I'm too close. Surely you can understand my frustraton though. My money spends just like everyone elses. I ordered the 55 as well so why is someone who ordered 1.5 weeks after I did receiving it first? Just saying.

I do understand your frustration.
Why not just ask EA why?

I ordered a grapple from EA on April 12. I got an email from Cole at EA today saying the grapple is being prepared for shipping today, Aug 30. Thats 20 weeks. Since I'm almost exactly on the opposite side of the country, ill probably get it in about 10 days.
