Thanks for the reply. Guess I’ll just have to decide. I’m still on the fence and looks like there’s not one that is clearly better than the other in my situation. I think the landshark will be best. And can you request it in yellow instead of orange still?

You're welcome! Colors? sure. We generally keep orange subcompact models in stock, but I think we also have yellow and green at the moment!

In my opinion Travis needs to man up and satisfy unhappy customers. Just good business practice and I would take it offline and make a phone call. Letting fanboys do the attacking in a public forum is not professional.

So ... folks having good experience with a business and giving positive reviews ..... are now "fanboys"?

NP .... I'd rather be known as a "fanboy" than a "whining little girl".

YMMV?

Geoduck. I wouldn't call myself a fanboy, but I had a nice experience when I bought my grapple. I have nothing bad to say about it. The best way for this to be solved would have been for fried1765 to talk to them directly. Going on a public forum, complain about something, and then having other folks not agree with you, is a fact of the modern age. I don't see how going into their sponsor thread and bashing them is going to help anything. The best way for an unhappy customer to express their opinion is to tell them directly, and if not happy with the result, do not buy from them again.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, I spent my 6 years in the Army. Some of the biggest whiners I knew were in the military. It's too hot. It's too cold. The chow isn't good. We need to do 2 mile run? We need to do a 5 mile march? One thing it does teach you is to suck it up and get the mission accomplished. Whining about it doesn't help anyone. It also gave me the ability to go to college, get an IT degree and now oversee over a dozen IT professionals. The military is a great thing, but it doesn't mean you can do no wrong.

This entire derail of their sponsor thread should be deleted by a moderator. If you want to bash them, make you own thread and do it in there.

The most sane response on this topic so far. ^^ Travis does not need to man up, CatDriver needs to make his case to EA. If not happy with their reply, go to some business organization, like BBB, etc.

He is not going to change anyone's mind who had good experiences with EA - the vast majority. His continual, repetitive ranting just pi**es people off by hijacking this thread. Oh, and a 45-minute YouTube video, really?

I would agree that Cat, Fried and Travis need to talk and resolve the complaints but I more agree with free speech and Cat and Fried have every right to state their option as customers of EA. Their experience has nothing to do with any fanboy experience. EA does a fantastic job, their market share says that. But bashing those that express their opinions under free speech should not happen. I submit that Cat and Fried would be satisfied if EA just reached out and made things right by them. In the big picture of things EA would sell MORE equipment if they reach out to unhappy customers rather than let happy customers bash unhappy customers. I would not let unhappy customer feelings fester, why?

And by the way, thank YOU for your service as well ! :drillsergeant: :united-states: :united-states: :drillsergeant:

This is all really very strange to me.
I have bought 2 EA items and have been totally satisfied with them.
Seems like most here have not even a clue how this all began.
My compliant was that "free shipping" is not directly to the buyer, but rather to a place that is actually the choice of the shipper.
Before ordering I very carefully read through all the EA advertising text, so I absolutely understood the shipping situation, when I placed each of my orders!

Somewhat buried in the EA advertising text it is mentioned that "free shipping" is not to your residence. I knew that when I ordered!
The "free shipping" is boldly highlighted advertising however, and it is deceptive, because the item is not actually shipped to the buyer's address, though most reasonable persons would expect it to be.

If I order from Amazon, or an E-Bay seller, or Titan, or Blain's Farm & Fleet, Rural King, Northern Tool, etc. and they offer an item with "free shipping", the item comes to my residence,...... not to a freight terminal some 80 miles away.

The undeserved anger and hate expressed here, (and apparently endorsed by EA) has left a very bad taste in my mouth.
In the Spring I will be in the market for a single lid 72" grapple.
As suggested by the "fan boys".....this "little girl" will now shop elsewhere.

Kinda too bad..... EA does make really nice stuff, and I do like to share product information with friends .....but I would be castigated by the EA cult members here on TBN if I were to mention a 1" bad weld on a grapple.
In my 79 years, I have found that life is best, by steering clear of nasty people, and those who associate with them.

That was not a surprise to me!
I knew that was the case when I placed both orders!

It's been discussed for over a year. It's not gonna change. You knew this before, yet you did it anyway, then complain incessantly over and over again. You said your peace several times. It's their choice to do business the way they want to. Customers are free to make suggestions to businesses. But following them around on the forums, and repeating your dissatisfaction over, and over, and over again is akin to a temper tantrum. Now's the time to take the high road and let it go.

Now that we've all held hands and sung Kumbaya around the campfire, can we just go back to discussing implements?

Tanks!

That's what I'm talking about tractors and the cool stuff you can buy for them!

Several of us have been trying to do just that over the last several days.

Three days after driving 45 miles one-way to the FedEx depot, I am beginning to see why people love their Wicked Grapples.

Oops, I guess I outed myself as a "fanboy" aka satisfied customer.

I cleaned up an area where several large oak branches came down in a storm more than 6 months ago. I just didn't want to tackle it with a chain saw and manual loading / unloading. What would have taken the better part of a day, took about an hour and greatly decreased the potential for injury. Here's a photo of some of the small stuff headed to the burn pile.

I bought my first grapple, an 84" HD dual lid Blue Diamond, for our NH TL100A back in 2008 and then discovered EA and bought a 73" EA Wicked Grapple for utility tractors in 2016. Each grapple has somewhat specific uses.

The BD is primarily used for pushing out dead trees and the EA is for tree limbs and brush. The BD jaw opening is about 34" ... perfect for picking up dead trees. The EA opens to almost 43" which works well for piles of brush or trimmed tree limbs.
