Hey Travis- I've been clearing low hanging limbs from the perimeter and inside the rows from my planted pines for the last few months. During this time I've been using my landscape rake in reverse to push the limbs into a pile and then haul them to the burn pile with my Wicked Grapple. With every other tine removed from the landscape rake, it's worked really well but I'm always thinking of something better.

Have you ever had a request for a 3 point root rake? Something with tines like your new root grapple but without the grapple lid that can hook up to the 3 point hitch, a rake that that could be pulled or turned around backwards and pushed like a landscape rake.

I've seen scarifiers that are made similar but the shanks are made for digging and not pushing brush.

What are your thoughts on something like this?

To my understanding, the best tool for what you're describing is a landscape rake/root rake. I'm not sure what would/could do a more efficient job of piling smaller limbs/brush into a pile for grapple grabbing.
It may take more of a visual for me to understand, though.

I think this is the rigid style you're referring to, but, yes, it's made to dig! Land Shark Scarifier

Imagine this grapple without the the top lid, mounted to the 3 point hitch and being able to push brush rearward or pull brush forward. The tines are heavier, spaced farther apart to allow pine needles to pass through and less likely to bend or break a tine.

edit- the Land Shark Scarifier would work if the tines were shaped like the ones on the pictured grapple.

I recently pushed over two big dead trees that left a lot of smaller broken branches on the ground. So I could also use a 3 point brush rake like you are looking for.

I did an image search for "3 point hitch root rake" and this is the only one that showed up and it is made for ground engagement:

A lot of front mount rakes showed up that could be modified for the 3 point hitch:

If EA wasn't swamped with orders they could make us one!

Thanks Xfaxman

I had also looked at a lot of online images and thought about how one could be converted to use both forward and reverse with the 3 point hitch. I use my landscape rake probably 90% of the time going backwards pushing brush and when I need to push forward I use the grapple.

Therein lies the problem!!
I'd have Ted and the whole factory crew after me if I even whispered something about a new product!

I stumbled upon this while surfing today. A pretty long YouTube video showing our 6-Way Deluxe Scrape Blade in action on a Kubota BX25D.
There are over 50 reviews for this blade on our website!

My order is in. Now the wait begins :)
1 week and 2 days. Had to spray for skeeters yesterday. The grass is thick and about 18" high. It's gonna be a rough wait. I keep telling myself it's gonna be worth it.

Man, I'm finding MAGIC on YouTube today. I just found this one of a customer showing off his brand new EA Bottom Plow in the garden..
It's a double bottom plow and video clarity is outstanding!! 4K GoPro and Drone Footage is very cool.

Man, that's terrible!
Here's a pic of Peanut using it, but it doesn't do anything for your grass problem.

No pictures yet, but I bought an Everything Attachments 3 Point Gooseneck Receiver Hitch - Trailer Mover and I am very happy with it!!! Very nicely finished piece! Nice welds and paint! Looks very sturdy and will definitely be an asset as I have a boat hobby as well as the many trailers I used to have to mow around on the farm! I give it 5 stars!!!

I'm hoping we can get it out within 3, but here's the reason we're getting behind.
Each page is an order for EA Attachments to truck ship & many have multiple attachments!

Hey Travis I had an idea about that feed a little while ago about paint on shipped items being scratched is there any way to maybe get the new grapples painted in the secondary color of a tractor brand like the grey on Massey Ferguson or Kubota or black on other brands it seems to me that would sense and cause less pressure on some of them who seek to purchase from y'all. Just a thought thanks

We really try to limit the amount of colors because switching colors wreaks havoc at the factory, however we do paint some orange and green. I try to discourage it though!!
I'm partial to the widely available Cat yellow on most attachments, but good ole black is best on the Wicked Grapple!

I can't wait.

Got it today. The pallet broke. The wrapping was a little torn and there were scratches by the fork lift but I think all superficial. I can't wait to try it out. It looks very well built.

Thanks again EA.

Hi Travis. Why are you suggesting the smallest unit? My 3pt has plenty of capacity.

Ah, I see. I was confusing your tractor with a 4100 subcompact!!
Yes, most would go with the XA300 Spreader, but you can really go as big as you want.
Sorry for the confusion!
