Have you ever thought about making a dual lid version of your root rake grapple like the WR Long RGBD series, I would be very interested somthing like that, I've even thought about purchasing your rake style grapple and modifying it to a dual lid style

We haven't really thought about it, especially considering how popular our Wicked Grapples are.

Ted took his favorite design, the Bradco RRG, and developed the EA Root Rake Grapple.
The weight is great for compact tractors and it is very strong!

I always was interested in the Bradco RRG, but it was too heavy and expensive. I was excited about the EA RRG, but in the end I couldn't justify the price jump up from a Wicked single lid.

If you cut out the center section of round tubing on the lid of the EA RRG, it would essentially become a dual lid unit, but I worry those "half tines" (the two center-most ones) would torque out of alignment then. If you would be happy having your two lids covering only the outer ends of the grapple, you could cut those half tines out as well, and I think it would function just fine as a dual-lid.

A question for someone with a Wicked 50" Compact grapple.

What is the inside depth of the bottom from front to back? I'm trying to compare it to the 48" WildKat which is 31".

I emailed you but may have not got it sent prior to you all closing up for the Easter Weekend. I would like to ask about your wicked single lid 50" compact grapple. I have a 4000lb TYM t500 with 50Hp. The Loader is rated up 3000lb and weighs a 1000 with bucket. I like the size and price of the 50" single lid wicked grapple. Is the 50 just as strong as your larger single lid wicked grapple 54"&60"?
Having the smaller & maneuverable is better for me. But if this grapple is not built as strong as the slightly larger grapple I need to take that into consideration. In looking at your on line specs it seems the 50" has thinner steel and wasn't sure if the teeth were as strong. Though reading some posts it sounded like all the wicked were built on same plat form.

Question 2: I am going to hook this up to my rear remote. You state to let you know the size of the hoses needed does this include going to a rear remote?

Shogan, I have the 54" single lid. I would go with the 54" model over the 50" for the 7" (nearly 25%) larger opening alone. I am frequently using all of that and wishing for more. It would really suck to have 7" less travel. Its 2.5" cylinder (vs 2") also yields about half again as much force for same hydraulic pressure. How useful that is depends on your tasks. There are times when I use all the clamp I have and wish for more.

Hey guys,
kinda new here but I recently started a small farm. I ordered at least twice from EA and had a good first experience. There was a shipping issue which they gladly adjusted the price for and I was very happy with the agrex spreader I bought.
More recently, I bought a rear blade for my LS G3033 and I talked to the guys at EA first to make sure I ordered the right size blade. My mistake, I should have come here for advice first. I ended up choosing the 60" which seems way too small for a tractor weighing 4500lbs (juiced tires). EA offered to waive the re stocking fee but the shipping cost to return and reimburse the original is way too high for me. It seems you have to reimnburse the full shipping costs of the whole unit not just the blade that I would have returned un used and new condition. So I would end up paying all the shipping and they would pay the shipping of just a blade. Not the deal I agreed to when I bought with free shipping.
Any one else have poor advice out there from EA or just me? I really like buying USA made equipment and the folks down there seem real friendly but this seems like it should be an easier swap. I didn't even take the blade off the pallet yet. Tractor Supply would have no problem swapping with me.

Like you said "you should have come here first" for abundant advise, guidance, etc.

You want the heaviest blade you can lift with your 3-point.

You want one that can still cover your rear tires when angled.

I have a Land Pride RB3796 8' Blade which weighs almost 700 lbs. My tractor and loader weigh 5430lbs. plus bucket or grapple or tree puller, etc

My experience with EA was excellent but, I did my research on TBN and also with Travis at EA before placing order for a 73" Wicked Grapple for Utility Tractors, to install on my LS XR4046HC. It arrived on time, hoses correct length, etc. No return needed here.

More will chip in here soon.

Seems to me that all you have to do, since it is still on the pallet, is pay whoever you choose to ship it back to them.

Thanks Rick, Travis and others. Although I am disappointed I wasn't more diligent in researching on my own, I just cant believe the compact blade would end up costing me much more than the 6 way deluxe model Travis mentioned. I work hard for the little money I am making as a new farmer and feel pretty stupid for buying a 60 inch blade for a 4500 lb tractor so I will just work the blade at night when no one will notice how small it is.
And next time I will ask for Travis at EA when I need advice. that 6 way deluxe looks pretty sharp.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that the old blade? New one has the rounded pivot plate I thought.

Although we haven't figured this out quite yet I must add, I bought a Gravely zero turn for the renowned customer support a couple years ago and they are phenomenal. You guys at EA appear to be right there with them. You have a customer for life no matter how it turns out.
Many thanks to all on this forum as well. They helped me choose the LS tractor and it has been a great machine for the first year ive owned it.

No. The search term "scrape blade" pulls up all the EA scrape blades. We'll work on that as soon as Nate gets back.
