Have a new to me large heavy 3 pt implement. My Case is cat 2. The top link holes fit the cat 2 pin but the lowers don’t. Definitely cat 1 sized. There are 2 sets of holes for pins. I hate the sleeves since they often times slide side to side and are a nuisance it get on when attaching. I am thinking about enlarging the holes to fit the cat 2 pin diameter. There is plenty of material to take 1/8“ or so that is needed. Width isn’t an issue so any advice?

wouldn't be easier to just tack weld the sleeves in place on the implement
i have seen replacement balls that fit into the lower arms with different size holes the ones I have seen were to go down a size but probably available going the other way as well

I have a quick hitch that uses cat 3 size pins.
On my implements I have replaced some of the pins with cat 2 and tacked welded the sleeve on. The other pins are cat 3. They dont bend like the cat 1 does.
Enlarge the holes snd put the bigger pins in.

It's always been easier for me to switch a few pins. Easy for me to say now that my remaining stuff all Cat-1 (3 CUTs) so it depends on which implements are used on which tractor(s). That or I'm just tired and I apologize ... o_O

I converted an implement from cat 1 pins to cat 2 pins for less than $20 and very little effort by buying this product from tractor supply company:

it is the type of attachment where the arm is between the 2 holes per pin. You have to put the sleeves in the arms lower the arms and then put in the pins.

Definitely leaning this way. All my cat 2 implements work the same with 2 sided connections with a pin that slides thru. I guess that is because they are all over 1500 pounds each.
