Enclosed trailers?

I have a 14 foot with a 2 foot Vnose double axle Haulmark. Ramp door in the rear. It was just over what most economy value trailers cost. Tires could have been better and were worn after a few thousand miles. Had D rings in the floor standard. I ended up putting a 3/4" floor over the existing one for more strength. If I had to buy again today, I would buy a aluminum frame one with aluminum wheels and a siding that has no screws through it. .02

Here's my 2015 Eagle 8 x 28 manufactured by Freedom Trailers. I have only had it for a few months now, but so far I really like it. It's well built and pulls like a dream. It may be more than you are looking for, but they build smaller BP also.

I bought my used as the second owner and asked for new decals and they sent them gratis... I thought that was nice because they didn't have to do that.

Look for a Wells Cargo Silver Sport. Well built and will be the last trailer you ever buy. It's an all aluminum trailer. Problem is Wells Cargo does not make them any more so you would need to buy used. I was told they could not compete with the other low cost manufacturing plants. Good luck.

Found it on craigslist, bought it to move stuff to the new shop. Right after I got it set up to unload, the guy I bought it from called, said he would buy it back for what I paid him for it. I said sold!

If you have the extra time and don't mind the work, there are some good deals to be found on used trailers. As others have said, check it out good and know what you are buying. Here's a few pictures of an older trailer that's being rebuilt. We just shot the walls and roof with 1" of closed cell foam to add some much needed insulation.

Once the inside wall are installed, it will be ready for its new life.

Sorry, it's been a long day. We sprayed it with commercial spray foam equipment. The pictures I posted earlier (8 x 28 enclosed trailer) is our new commercial spray foam rig. I guess it's hard to know what's inside unless your familar with foam. We plan to have the trailer warped, but just have stopped to have it done yet. We can spray both open and closed cell foam along with polyurea's.


The system is completely self-contained inside the trailer. I have added a few pictures of the inside and the equipment.

Very interested in how you install new walls! Also how to did you spray foam it?

It was easy really. This walls and roof structure of this trailer is built out of 1" square tubing. We just removed the old inside walls (Wood) and sprayed the foam against the inside of the outer metal sheets. Once finished, we replaced with new material screwing it back to the 1” tubing.

Not a lot of foam work where I am and don't know anyone that has had it done...
