Need some help-my husqvarna 345 has two nipples, a white and orange, on the fuel tank. Which one goes to the primer bulb? The white nipple is a little bigger than orange. Is one a vent?

LOL, you are not good for the economy, don't U know that all those newfangled gadgets is what keeps the GNP going.

LOL, what's wrong with the old fashioned methods.

What next?
A computer controlled laser saw mounted firewood measuring device?
Perhaps it'll let U know when each cord is up to specs.
Heck. I simply eyeball and go to it.
OK, sometimes I'm off an inch or so either way but as long as they fit into my stove I'm OK.

Gee Piloon yor really are backwards!! :) Haven't you heard about an app that can be downloaded on your Smart Phone so that you can saw logs while watching TV?! :irked:

LOL, most times watching TV I do saw logs, especially after dinner and more so during the many commercials the seem to outnumber the actual program.

Yes, it does. Yet I prefer to burn that length.

I have a retired forester friend he once told me 12 inch is the optimal length for a wood stove to get maximum heating value. He said any more than that and you are just wasting.

Anyone else ever hear that?

For me it’s the way that they fit into my firebox. 12” can go in end wise; anything bigger has to go in parallel to the door. The ashes and coals end up falling against the door, I end up with hot coals falling out and an unnecessary mess on the fire pad.

My outdoor boiler says 38" un-split is the best and 24" comes in 2nd.

I heard that it was 32 centimeters+ 44 millimeters. :D

Actually. I believe that the dryness of the wood efficiency of the stove and to a lesser degree how finely you split it that effects how well it burns.
