I have a 11 yr old straight shaft echo trimmer. The head keeps spinning and won't disengage. Does it have some sort of clutch? Maybe it just needs to be greased? If grease, what kind should I use?

TIA!

not sure on the model but it might be a busted clutch spring, would cause it to be engaged full time

Thanks, I took it apart a couple months ago and discovered the clutch bolts had simply come loose and were squeeking and jamming up in the housing :confused3:

Grabbed my torque gun and problem solved.

Thanks for responding!
