Imagine that!

1.5 years ago same issue, had the shop repair it with a new carb. I use non-ethanol gas w/pre-mix and some 50:1 commercial gas cans.

I installed a new carb. The spark plug is new. The air filter is new. It will still not start.

With my spark plug tester I am getting spark. I have VP racing 50:1 gas in the tank. What might I look at next?

That fuel could be the problem. Is that the 100LL octane fuel ?

Some lower compression engines will not run with that fuel.

Richard

I have VP racing

Check the compression. You want at least 110 psi, but I prefer 120 psi myself on 2 cycle. Carbon scoring on piston or cylinder is a big issue.

I had the same blower for about 7yrs. I started noticing low power and a bit of smoke. Tried new carb, filters and always used E0 fuel. Got tired of messing with it so I sold it and bought a stihl br600. Far stronger of a blower and have owned stihl equipment for 13yrs with out having to ever take the carb off.

I've never had to replace the carb on my DeWalt blower either. :ROFLMAO: ;)

Is the plug wet, or dry?

If wet, dry out the chamber by pulling through a half dozen times or more (NO CHOKE)

If dry, give a small squirt of fuel directly into the carb bore and give a pull. (Plug installed !)

If the engine runs on the prime, you may have a fuel line problem.
but, repeat the prime and start a few times, maybe the clog will clear.

Is the carb impulse passage clear and aligned with the gasket?

Na you just have to stop every 10min to change batteries and only blow half as much area...also forget about blowing even damp leaves. LMFAO

Does it have a spark arrestor? I don’t know your blower at all but Stihl blowers it’s common for the arrestor to get plugged up..
