I thought I'd drop an update for anyone interested.
It seems I still have a bit to learn on hydraulic systems. My first couple attempts to get this working failed, and now I know why R&D is so expensive

. But I'm learning and it's fun so, I press on.
My first electrical plan to power the solenoids resulted in burning up some switches, the switches I used were supposed to be 3A, as is what the solenoid draws, but I guess getting that close to the limits and cheap switches... Anyway, I solved that with relays between the joy stick switches and solenoids (see updated schematic).
So with the electrical issues solved, I started testing the hydraulics. Nope, nothing worked. The diverted 3rd function was doing something, because there was hydraulic strain, but the test cylinder didn't move. The solenoid controlled 3rd function didn't seam to do anything.
Long story and a couple days later, I found two issues. First, it seams I tapped the power beyond incorrectly, because the my solenoid controller worked, but only if I actuated one of the rear remotes

. The second issue. It seams the way I wanted to use the second diverter valve as an output selector won't work because it need hydraulic pressure on the inputs to actually switch. So I need a different type of valve for that purpose.
For now, the project is on hold. The tractor's been out of commission too long and I need to get back to working on my new property. So I've capped off the solenoid controlled 3rd function, and re-routed the diverted 3rd function through the normally open ports of the output valve. So the diverted 3rd function is at least working.
