1*I built one similar once to prepare for some grass seeding. Only difference was I made it twice as wide as it was taking forever at only 3' a pass.

2*Also, I nailed a row of concrete nails (regular just bent over) into the bottom to help scarify the surface just enough to provide a little loose soil for the seed to take better.
1*I built mine for narrow strips say up to 16 feet wide so I didn't want it very wide.

2*I didn't need nails or anything like that on mine as the soil had already been loosened up with the tiller.
I just needed the drag to smoth out and level up the already loose soil.

I have an old spike tooth harrow about 4 or 5 feet wide that I want to rig up to a 3 pont boom pole someday so I can lift it to carry it and turn it around at the end of making a pass with it.
