Zuiko and Junkman, I guess I know that and it's probably why I haven't actually done it. After writing the post though and thinking about it some more I did come up with the perfect attachment I can buy now. A welder. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You see, you are right that money doesn't rust or go out of style but it sure gets hot in the pocket /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Mike

By the way, the wife IS pregnant and in a couple of weeks I WILL know the sex. But still have five months until the delivery.

I paid for the delivery separately but First Choice made it very affordable. The truck driver had no problem down loading the 700+ pound rototiller on a pallet jack and put it right where I wanted it.

This is the only 3 pt tiller I've ever owned/used, and I like it. This tiller was, I believe, made in Turkey. Turks have a good reputation for making basic, utilitarian tools, and ...)</font>

and..... you talk like you are experienced about "made in Turkey" products. There are only 3 American companies doing business with Turkey in implement field (Agri - Supply, First Choice and CCM) and ... only rotary tillers (by CCM and by AgriSupply soon from same source), drum mowers and hay "!" rakes are being dealt (if we dont count a few items.)

Well, by the way, 3 days ago, I just bought a new tiller which just appeared in a market in central anatolia and very happy about it due to its high quality and the price. See attachment.
Another thing that just made me happy is a 50 years old nice rag piece I just added to my rug collection. But this is another irrelevant story which only "Parisians" would like to hear more about.

Can you tell us exactly what wholegoods "First Choice" is buying from Turkey? I purchase from "First Choice" and would like to stay far away from any Turkish made wholegood products !--I am OK with seats and hitch pins etc. from Turkey, to a degree?--Ken Sweet

Re: my statement:
"Turks have a good reputation for making basic, utilitarian tools"

I've traveled through western Turkey on business (Izmir-Ankara, Istanbul-Antalya) more than a dozen times since 1985. It always seemed to me that Turks were very capable at basic, no frills mechanical fabrication. No OSHA (for good or ill), no huge insurance/liability fears. I've seen very useful equipment designed and fabbed in a hurry by small, one room machine shops. I don't buy, sell, distribute, import, or export machine goods from Turkey, or have any business relationship with anyone who does. Just my impression of stuff I've seen made & in use in Turkey over the years. As always, your mileage may vary.

Bob,

Just received new tiller literature from Land Pride and it states in bold letters "Land Pride offers a complete line of Rotary Tillers, all manufactured in America."

Now, what does manufactured mean? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
