Do tire studs work?

Does anyone have experience with tractor tire studs? Do they work or are they a waste of time and money?

All depends on you wallet more than anything,
Where you are a set of 2 row snow chains or
2 row V chains would last you forever and always
be able to handle the work.

I loaded the rears on my lawn tractor as the chains and
rear suit case weights alone were worthless.

Load your rears and buy a set of chains and you will be better off as
studded tires on tractors will behave just like studded tires on cars
with black ice to deal with-only as good as your tractor and implement weight.

Reminds me of a cartoon by Larson years ago where farmer had a tractor and a
huge set of drags consisting of 30 plus cats with their claws all stuck out and
being dragged by the tractor.

The issue is traction and only traction. the studs are only as good as the
snow or ice covered ground they travel over.

I'd like to think they help when driving on the highway on snow/ice, especially when going around curves.

My tractor has loaded rears. Tractor weight is around 12k. I have a snow blade on the loader and the front of the tractor slides around. I was wondering if studs would be good enough to keep it straight

I have thought about studs, but my concern is where they will end up if/when they fall out.
