DIY 4 post canopy vs ROPs only

I don't have a full skid plate (yet) but protected the oil filters. Used threaded holes on the bottom of transmission to mount the filter protection.

I suppose they are most effective at protecting the hood, too, when the limb risers are run out to the front grill?

How do you open your hood?

The hood opens normally in between the rails.

Yanmar offers a 4 post ROPS for the SA425; I figured maybe it would give you inspiration of some sort.

The angled slant of the front posts might help deflect tree branches better than a purely vertical post. Also see some hand grabs on them.
