Here is an instruction manual to a very similar engine meter made by Mebay who made the one on the DM200.

For some reason I can't open that link. Well I finally found the pilot filter. Take the left side cover off, it is underneath the control valve block. When i had mine out the other day and transplanted a bush I was pretty upset. it has the ISO pattern and my digging was a disaster. yow would have swore I was on loco weed. All the backhoes and track hoes I have ran over the years had the backhoe controls SAE. Every one I talked to said "well you are just going to have to learn the IsO. " No way in this world am I going to retrain my brain at this age. The best I can describe it is, put your pencil in your left hand, now write your name starting right to left. I did a lot of reading on how to change it, looked on u tube and none even look remotely the same. I e mailed Rippa and Digmaster also asking about it, no answer. i called Rippa of Texas and said it can't be done. There are a lot of hoses there to figure out. I finally figured it out (I think) at least when I was done , I had the SAE pattern. I did not take it out and dig yet as it was late when I got done. In one article I read, said you might run into flow problems as on some machines they will have a smaller orffice. i wouldn't think it would be the case on the China made ones. But the next time you have yours running, see if when you move the dipper stick in or out , if it makes your RPM change slightly.

John - changing control to BH is simple - Just swap the boom and dipper stick lines (the boom is the one in front of you, the dipper stick is the one on the top - I posted a photo - since my boom and dipper stick are are on the top of the boom, it was a 10 min swap.

They number the lines at the boom and dipper stick and at the valves so it should be an hour most to change at the valve under the floor of your machine,

I removed the link and reattached it, try again and let me know.

I just purchased a DM200 as you did. I am 71 and got it for similar reasons as you. I had a stroke 3 years ago and NPH, the same as Billy Joel was diagnosed with. I call my mini my fancy wheel chair. I can now keep up cleaning out my drainage and fire pond from falling tree branches and sediment. I also have not been able to find a service manual. Currently one or both of the tracks will stop. The cogged wheel at the end of the track is also stopping. All I can see is the gear being held onto the axle with a key and keyway on the motor shaft to allow the gear to spin. Can the key be worn? When my neighbor asked what it is I told them it is my new all terrain wheel chair.

I am seeing many of these being listed for sale on Ebay. The price looks pretty good for a 1800kg weight diesel machine with pilot control. It seems odd the small 2 cylinder diesel (8-9HP?) they chose to install in it. For those of you that have this model does it seem sufficient amount of power?

Also after owning it for awhile and doing projects with it (real work) any updates on your feelings about your purchase?

I am considering changing out my Typhon Terror X for a 2-ton machine with diesel.

It looks like these 2-ton advertised excavators (1.8 metric ton) are actually only 1125kg and therefore are really a 2480 pound excavator. Typical Chinese playing with the numbers. That explains why they have the small diesel engine. I contacted a Seller and he confirmed the working weight as being 1125kg.

The closest true 2-ton units will have a working weight of 1800kgs minimum. 1kg =2.204lbs or ~3970lbs

The Hightop (Terror XVIII, Or Kamran Motors) with the Kubota 722 or 902 engine weigh in at 3400 pounds and with an operator around 3600 pounds or 1.8 tons. The Terror XIX by Vote is 3200 pounds, and the Rippa machines 15 are 1.5 metric tons, and the Rippa 1.8 are 1.8 metric tons. Rippa are one of the few that seem to list the close to actual weight.

Yeah, it is hard to trust the factory or distributor when it comes to a lot of specs, especially weight.

I like to see owners who report what they get themselves, after having their new machine weighed.

Yes DF - they claim 4000 LB as "operating weight" full of fuel, oil, and a 600 pound operator :)

Without accurate specifications for weight I wonder how proper shipping is done? At anyrate it looks like I will be getting the Typhon Terror XVII with cab. Base model looks to be about 1500kg. Not sure how much the cab with AC adds to the total.

Just sold off my Terror X yesterday so am free to move up.

I just purchased a DM 200 excv. I can't find any thing on the internet or any one who owns one. I think they juist arrived in the USA a few months ago. I got mine through a auction house but not through the auction. They ordered containers of Excv. due to the feared import tax and price increase. This is the only one they got in of this make. No owners manual or tool box with it. They sell on E bay for quite alot more than I paid. They said their auction wasnt till March so I think they needed some cash. I looked on E bay and they are priced $10-11K I contacted some of the sellers on E bay to find out if they had a owners manual or could get it. No answers. Found one in S. Carolina for sale and he said he could get parts only if I bought it from him. I looked it over and it seems pretty well built, no bubble gum welds, bolts look good, pretty smooth to operate, Z482 Kubota diesel. (wondering about that) paint good, plenty of room in engine compt, easy to get to. Every one is saying I lost my mind for getting one, while the years I probably have left can be counted on one hand. I ran a mini excv. business for several years, Mitsubihi dozer, JD 50 track hoe, New Holland tractor, box blade and York rake, JCB 212 back hoe. I eventually envolved over into septic pumping and worked in it for 15 years. At 82 it was getting too hard on me, my hired helper found another job and I went to a homeless shelter for men and told them I would pay $40 a hour, no one wanted to work, so I sold my co. then. Sold the JD50 a few years ago but still around home there are holes to dig, dead trees to cut up and I need to put a curtain drain around the front of my house. I have a Bob Cat CT335 wilth a back hoe on it but every time I put it on, I need to put the blade on it, and put the blade on it and then I need the hoe. It is getting harder for me to do that. A few years a friend of mine bought one of those China mini hoes. He bought some property up at Lake Mich and wanted to develop it to put a cabin on or at least a place to park his motor home on when he went up for a few weeks in the summer. I remember when he bought it by on the trailer and I went out and looked at it and grabbed ahold of it and started rocking it a couple of times (I think I could have fliped it over) and asked him whey he didn't just borrow my wheel borrow and find a man to do the work. He laughed at me. You will see the light some day, he said. Well this summer I begun to "see the light". At 84 there still maintaince you have to do as long as you are upright. I had to dig out and put a flag pool in this last summer, a few small trees, and dispose of larger ones that died and dig out the stumps. This last summer a life long friend of mine died, I am the last man standing. In place of flowers his wife asked if I could plant a tree in his memory. I said sure. So on Thanksgiving day I planted a Scymore tree in our front yard. It nearly put me under. The words my other friend had told me came back to me , "some day you will see the light". So I begin to think that I might not see any light at all if I keep this up. So I looked at all the viedos on U Tube about the China made Excvs. till my eyeballs allmost poped out, read all I could find. Finially decided that if I got one I wanted pilot controls (hated the JD 50, all stooped over) wanted a thumb, wanted to go to at least the 1 1/2 ton and wanted swinging boom. Ran onto this DM200 and price was out of my ball park and it did not have swinging boom, but had a diesel engine which I figured on a Briggs. I told the fellow how much I wanted to spend and and had cash in my pocket. He thought for a minute and said "ok" So if any one can locate a manual for me or put me in that direction and can give me any information on this one. I am sure it is the same as other China made excvs. I am sure they did not retool just to make this brand. I even tried sending a e-mail to the mfg. but no response. I can make a tool box for it but sure need a manual. I am not very good on the internet. And I can't give you any more info on it, it is in the garage and I am going to sit under my heated throw blanket with my cat on my lap till spring. This cold weather just kills me any more. In the mean time tell everyone not to call the men with the white coats.
Sad state of our country when you can't find a reliable laborer for $40/hour. I'm 70, justmesses myself up badly letting a TLB crush my calf, so my old excavator will be my last.
Still working at 82 you are sadly the last of a breed.
While 90% of the illegals need to go back for wench they came, the few willing to learn English, pass a citizenship test, swear allegiance to the Constitution and work to pay off a fine for there crime, can stay and have a piece of the land of opportunity.
In my career days, I have some experience working with the Chinese. The trick is to make a personal contact, which will start out as transactional, but can end up being long lasting. So appreciation, offer feedback. If they think your a fool, most Chinese will not lose sleep taking advantage, so respect works both ways.
Best thing to do is track the manufacture down on the internet and try to make contact.

So far I am pretty pleased with he digmastr 200. No trouble at all. i finally figured out how to change to SAE controls. Some have said that the 200 is the same as the Rippa 328. Does the 328 use 30 mm pins?. What was the reason they used 30 mm instead of 25 mm? Makes attachments expensive. What other China made excv. use the 30 mm pins? I notice most all the pins are 30 mm in the boom. Was it because of being a larger machine?

Even some of the 1-2T machines have at least 1 or 2 cylinders that have 30mm pins. But not usually for the buckets. They are, of course, stronger.

A lot of things get better when you get up to an true 4000# machine.

Has any one actually had their DM 200 weighed? Some one said they weigh around 2100 lbs and not 3800 lbs. I think there is a Rippa distributor in Texas. I wonder if you could order parts and get support from them.?

Here is a list of machines that Kai at Bison equipment told me has 30 mm pins with the same spacing as my excavator:

"I checked our database and the size is exactly the same as the Daewoo S015 and Doosan DX17 Z. It's also compatible with Bobcat models E20, E20Z, E10, X320, X322, X322D, X323, X324, 418, 225, 322, 323, and the John Deere 17P (with a 3mm tolerance in pin center)."
