One thing struck me when I was reading the manual for my new L3902: this was not a tractor that I could ever loan out. The procedures, controls, and instructions were just too complicated for people who just go 'hammer down' when it comes to accomplishing work. When the instrument panel lights up or buzzers start going off, DPF/regen would be defeated, inhibited or the tractor would be shut off...and I probably wouldn't learn about it until I got the bill.
If getting someone to stop and clean the radiator screen when a normal tractor shows signs of overheating is too much (in spite of being repeatedly told), then the DPF and regens are far above their pay grade.
