Buying Advice Diesel generator for home back up use

craigslist littlerock Ark. .... If you cant live in comfort during an outage, then why have a generator at all, just break out the Coleman stove and lantern, put your sleeping bag under a nice shade tree and wait it out if in summer. Winter- got some wood for campfire. I don't think the wife would be too happy with that though. Time to go for a visit with kids or relatives if no big genset which I don't have.

... or perhaps one uses a small unit to run their water supply and keep the fridge hummin... of course one can subscribe to all or nothing / with us against us...but really there are many solutions of note.
