Oil & Fuel Diesel fuel farm tanks

I am trying to determine if there is Federal or Nova Scotia statue that describes the specifications or regulations for a farm diesel tank of less than 1400 liters. I have spent quite a bit of time reading the Nova Scotia farm regulations and the Nova Scotia Environmental regulations and cannot find a thing about a farm tank.

I know of a local farmer who was told by a fuel distributor that he would not fill his 55 gallon tank with fuel even though the farmer had been using this same container for years.

My question is of course, does anyone know of an actual statue which covers this matter.

Better off going to your local government, county, state, courthouse, or whatever you have there, etc. before you ask on a global basis. Each country has different regs and statutes.
