You are 24 years old?

VP

Yep 24. March 8th is my Birthday. I was born March 8th 1988. So March 8th 2013 I will be 25. I can't believe I am nearing 30. lol

I'm about 5 years 8 months away from my 30th Birthday. Time sure does fly.

Well I suppose it is if it is contaminated. One thing that made me feel better was the fact that camp fire smoke is 10 times worse. The Boy Scouts better watch out!

VP

The Boy Scouts have always known about the dangers of camp fire smoke. Why do you think they have the new members go and get the left-handed smoke benders?

Forget global warming - it's Cycle 25 we need to worry about

Of course, there is tons more, but this random NASA spew made me remember this thread.

Haha! What a silly link! First, NASA made a solar cycle prediction, that's it. There was no global warming/cooling assertion made. The article barely even mentions NASA. So, how are they 'spewing'? Second, your article is one of a tabloid site, right next to 'crooked haircut' and 'Russell Crowe joyless airport reunion'. Now.. really?

This prediction was the winner of the article:
article-2093264-1180A549000005DC-715_468x290.jpg

I'm more than a little curious how one gets that prediction from that historical data. Is the scale completely off or did the chart creator miss a zero somewhere?

Sure, it is possible even a tabloid may print something true once in a while, but I don't think their conclusion as to global warming being a giant hoax is one of those truths. Maybe a comic book will reveal the rest of the conspiracy. :D Seriously, is there a reputable source, once which cites studies, anyone can link to? I'd like to know where the fizzle chart came from as well. Is that a real chart, because.. it looks absurd. :p

"Silly." Yup.... I give up. Trying to spar with someone on the climate religion is like trying to convince a radical Muslim that Christianity is the true religion. You can't change someone who has been programmed to "believe" since birth. Sorry to throw the thread off gents, I should have known better.

If anyone needs me, I'll be downstairs using diesel to get the grease of my hands, and then burning the waste in the front yard.

Ignore Domush, he feels it's his life's work to demean and belittle, he even edited mine and other responses and then quoted them as if we had said the actual things he posted then commented on them as if he were replying to something, which of course we didn't say in the first place. He's a self centered narcissistic that cannot help shouting "Look at me!" to the top of his lungs at every opportunity. Of course now he will respond to me with something he thinks is clever and intelligent sounding, as if he were capable of either...

Here's a good link that looks at other possibilitie, silly as it may be.;)

Forgot the link!:ashamed: http://ecocentric.blogs.time.com/2010/09/09/climate-change-a-slowdown-on-polar-melt/

Apparently getting someone who posts tabloid links as science to answer obvious issues with their claims is too much to ask. There isn't a single citation in that article, not even the charts have sources cited. Seeing as you post NASA as spewing and link to an article where they make a fairly benign prediction (still no citation) and make no claim as to links to climate change, what word would you use to describe the article, on a site whose featured articles are exactly as I quoted?

Oh yeah, you don't answer questions, that would mean you must cite real science instead if tabloid assertions. You would much prefer everyone take you and your tabloid article at its word.

Critical thought, so annoying.

The irony is you call me brainwashed and you get all flustered when your assertion (and tabloid site link) is questioned, then 'refuse' to provide actual science to back up your opinion. Yeah.. It must be because we're brainwashed we don't take tabloid articles with no citations seriously. That must be it.

What about the "Dead miners" that have breathed the fumes for 30 years?

Just so everyone on here understands... There are more people on the planet now than at any other time in history. Diesel fumes must not be that bad ! Otherwise, the numbers would be going a different way.

VP

How does that compare with diesel fumes out in the open air. Such as plowing a field or running construction equipment.
Hate mention it, but Coal Dust kills far more miners that diesel fumes.

Think I will also clean my hands with diesel and burn the leftovers. Sure hope it does not kill me or give me cancer.
Will keep you informed. Unless I'm dead.

Do you guys use bars of lead instead of bars of soap when you shower, too? Mercury milkshakes? Toxic waste meatloaf? Smoke cigarettes for the sweet scent?

I fail to see how bragging about ignoring health warnings makes something "manly"..

If/when you do get cancer, what then? Will you tell your family, "I'm putting you all through this because I wanted to be cool and it was totally worth it!"? I fail to see why people purposely risk their health for no reason at all. It isn't like there is no hand cleaner which works equally as well (or better), which doesn't require burning afterwards. Heck, some are wipe off and don't even need rinsing. Why the needless risk? What do you get out of it?

If you want to quite me don't take things out of context.

To most folks it would be pretty clear that was a JOKE.

Me thinks you should sell your tractor before those fumes get you.

Want to have some fun with some of these Nervous Nellies. Tell them that a substance that is far more
dangerous than diesel fumes is very common and out in the open. And to top it off, very few in the media
even know it of nor do they care, if they did know. This common substance is known as dihydrogen oxide.
It kills more people around the world than any other single compound. And chances are it is even in your
home - waiting! Dihydrogen oxide is water, H2O, but don't tell them that, make 'em squirm a bit thinking
the sky is now falling.

What context was that? I quoted the entire statement.

To most folks it would be pretty clear that was a JOKE.

And how exactly would that be clear? Were you also joking about miners dying from coal dust? How would one figure out where you are joking and where you are being serious? That is why forums have emoticons, because emotion is not easily conveyed via text.

Me thinks you should sell your tractor before those fumes get you.

Me thinks if you joking, you may want to consider using the technology correctly and not assuming people can read your mind. I don't know you from Adam. I have no idea what you consider a joke or what you are dead serious about. My apologies for not taking everything you say as a joke, unless you otherwise specify.

Also my apologies for giving a crap whether you get cancer or not and speaking up in the hopes you reconsidered your statement, of which I didn't know was a joke.

Joke to Follow -- "Think I will also clean my hands with diesel and burn the leftovers. Sure hope it does not kill me or give me cancer.

Are you just trying to be stupid or is it the real you.???????
