My current machine is ribbon printing, and the ribbon starts to age the print gets harder to see. The red fades very quickly.

I seldom keep the printed receipt more than a week so longevity is not a concern. Its main use is for double checking my key strokes.

Lastly, it is new technology to me that I want to try, unless the consensus here is overwhelmingly negative. So far it is still a go for me. Lets see what tomorrow brings.

I have to admit to a certain curiosity as to why you want a printing calculator in this day and age. I see them routinely at garage sales for very little, at least around here.


I use mine all the time and if it quit I'd need to get a new one right away. What are people using instead?
