Would putting a mixture of diesel and roofing tire like people paint fences be good for a trailor deck?

Definitely not Diesel...;)

Used to be common to use a roller to "paint" 50/50 mix of diesel and used oil on trailer wood to keep it new.

We used a 50/50 mixture of raw linseed oil and turpentine for decking and doing our wooden gutters once a year. In fact they still do the latter now. The problem with the raw linseed oil is that it takes months for it to sink in and dry even with it being cut with the turps, but it sure did an excellent job. :)
