Deck 60" model 291

I bought the mower with a model 291 deck. I was wanting to remove the blades. I tried to remove the nut and it and the shaft started to just spin and not come off. Any ideas? Thanks

Did you wedge something(2X4) against the blade to keep it from moving?

yes 2X4 and the blade staying put, but the nut and saft slip.

sometimes an impact will take it loose before the shaft has a chance to spin....might be worth a shot...

put wrench on top to hold spindle shaft from turning!
