I have a dearborn plow that i would like to paint but i was wondering if that wheel that runs on the furrow is needed or will it work without it how important is it were they really needed or will it plow the same without it i would like to get it on before i paint the plow if it is neededhttp://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/images/smilies/new/confused3.gif

Most of the Dearborn plows you see at auctions are missing this wheel. Do not know why. Would it depend on the type dirt you were plowing. Sod or not. With everything now being no-till?

Well i like to do plow days so sometimes tis sod sometimes its hard sometimes its soft at home it is peet ground and seems to work without it but if i want to expand the garden it will be pulled through sod
