30%?
That’s unbelievable, no offense intended.
I have seen maybe 0-5% in my area.

not around here the prices have reduced about 30% (guesstimate)
Sorry Bear but that can't be.
You are way above the margin with that guess unless dealers were whacking them where you live and it "appears" they're taking that percentage.
That new hemi Challenger they just announced with over 1000 hp, dealers are whacking them to 75K over sticker and the car resides well north over 100K as is.
Now a 30% reduction on that car would seem like a break.

I'm not seeing dealers reduce prices much yet in middle Tennessee, but I wouldn't want to be sitting on a lot of inventory right now.

I’ve been following 3 different tractors on tractor house that have been sitting since the winter. They are all used tractors in the 55K-75K range. 2 are the same price as 6 months ago and 1 dropped from $70,000 to $69,500.

i'm referring to used market by owner and here there has been a huge increase in the number of listings on facebook and CL and the asking prices have reduced by about the percentage i listed. was i off topic?

I can not say what newer tractors are selling for around here but the old iron is getting more in line recently. I was looking for an old Farmall Cub Lo Boy to restore and the prices were crazy (3-4k for ones that need a LOT of work, I mean just a bit better than a parts machine). Anyway, I noticed they have been dropping quickly, they post on FB Market place at 3 or 4k, sit for a month, drop a grand, sit another month and drop another grand, etc. The one I bought was up at 3k but sold for 1900 in very good shape with a good mower.

The bright side is there will be some screaming deals for those with cold hard cash to come in and scoop up. Caveat emptor.
Are you saying those "screaming deals" will be on USED tractors taken in trade by dealers?

Honestly the best bet is to sell the tractor yourself, rather than trading it in if it is an older machine. Remember they will low ball you, as they plan to sell it for market price. I know i looked into trading in my 2305 and what they were offering was 50% less what they were going for at the time. Its just the headache of tire kickers that makes trading in look appealing.

I expect used machines for sure.

New machines will depend on a lot of factors. Probably the most important is total inventory to sales. If the manufacturers don't build more machines than the market will absorb (and they are very good about this), then they won't be very likely to reduce prices to dump what they have.

If the manufacturers overbuild in anticipation of a strong market and then demands falls off a cliff then they might have to discount new equipment too, just to get rid of it.

Trade in not so important to me as just being able to keep the tractor running. I've never had a problem big enough to actually need an independent mechanic until I got a Mahindra and then I owned it for 9 years before that happened.

Nearest dealers are Kubota/New Holland and JD, but the JD is a corporate chain store.

Most of the discussion has been about Kubota v the Korean manufacturers, but where does New Holland stand these days in relationship to Kubota, Kioti, and TYM in terms of reliability and parts support?

The New Holland brand has been bought and sold multiple times, it is now owned by a company called CNH Industrial. CNH has very good support for anything that it made and pretty decent support for most of the equipment that the companies it bought made in the past. Their old equipment parts support is not quite as good as Deere's (which is extensive), but not very far off. The CNH equipment I've run have been as reliable as anything else I'd run.

I can't say anything personally about Kubota as I've never owned anything they or one of their subsidiaries made, but their reputation among others in my area that do have Kubota equipment is pretty good. I can't say anything at all about Daedong/Kioti as the only exposure to them I've had is seeing one of their little compacts on a lot once, that's it. LS makes CNH's compact tractors and I have used a New Holland-branded LS and it was a solid tractor. I can't say anything about LS's support as that machine's support came from CNH, not LS.

Can you explain: “Massy lost their respect”?
They might be one of the most respected tractor & equipment manufacturers in the world.

:ROFLMAO:
I own two. One older one 2021 75 HP. I love them both. That’s all that matters

Might be a tad inconvenient for you since Granbury TX is 783 miles away from where I am in middle TN, but thank you for your kind offer.

You can swing by a bunch of us in East Texas on your way to Granbury. You can take a upclose look at my AC system and see what I can do to improve it. :)
