Had a d2650fd come in the shop with a busted oil pan, there seem to be bolts behind the clutch holding it on that you have to split the tractor to access, is this the case? And if so, WHOS STUPID IDEA WAS THAT?! Also, any suggestions for a possible replacement? Thanks in advance.

The only Mitsubishi engine I've personally known of that was designed that way was a Mitsubishi S4S-D in a Montana 5740. I have never had the pan off a K4E but maybe it is of that design too. Looking at parts diagrams for it, it doesn't "appear" that any bolts are inaccessible from underneath but maybe so? A new pan will probably be next to impossible to find, short of searching salvage parts for equipment that used that engine. Part number is MM412649 and a diagram for both style pans is available here Adex International Inc. - Mitsubishi Parts. West KY Tractor Parts has a salvage 2650 in stock.
