Hoping to buy a new HST Loader Tractor - full sized compact frame.

Kubota has always been at or near the top of my list.

However while researching, the lift capacity posted for the various Kubota CUT's are significantly LESS than most of the competition.

Trying to get at least 2,000# lift capacity without buying an 'M' Series. Budget is around ~ $30,000.

Any insights?

TIA

Kubota MX series. The MX Series is now comprised of two models, the MX5400 and the MX6000, ranging from 55.5 to 63.4 gross engine horsepower and both available with an optional factory cab.

If you will be lifting one ton loads higher than 36" routinely you would be wise to spend for the additional weight and width of an M series. SAFETY FIRST.

My local Kubota Dealer (30 min. away) has a 2019 L4701 with rim guard and a few hundred hours on it.

He is going to set up some pallets with known loads on them so we can see how much can actually be lifted.

Due to the industrial treads on the tires, chains will be added to the front tires so I can still plow the driveway.

L4701 has a relatively weak loader for it's size,as suggested the Mx series should lift your intended loads.Kubota loaders are roughly 2 times the number on the loader(I.E. 854=1708 lbs.).
Also there is "standard" for determining capacity across the manufactoriers ,some measure at the pins ,some at bucket edge ect.

The L4701 is 4" to 7" narrower in wheel/tire spread than an MX, depending on tire selection. A BIG decrease in platform stability. The LA765 Loader on an L4701 is rated for about 1,300 pounds lift to full height, AT THE PINS.

Likely 1,300 pounds lift of LADEN PALLETS 6" off the ground, 1,150 pounds at 36", lift capacity decreasing rapidly with additional height.

And note it has been reported on TBN a while back that many Kubotas straight from the dealers have had real world performance poorer than specs. It seems they were "cranked" down, perhaps to prevent failure. All I read about were able to be "cranked" back up and performed well.
So when you test it at the dealer find out what pressure it's running at. They may have one "detuned" or tuned up.

I’m with Jeff on this one. If you want 2,000 lbs go with MX or an M. GL with bigger loader should do it too, but expensive.

Here‘s the CA specs for the 1154E

The 'M' or 'MX' is simply too big for me. If the loader test fails I will give the LS MT342H dealer a call. His tractor has a load rating of 2,680#. The price would be less as well.

I am 74 years old and recognize my relative fragility.

I know not your age but personally I would not consider it safe to lift 2,500 pounds with a 62.5" width tractor, except on an infrequent basis, on swept, smooth, flat and level pavement.

The LS price would be less.
Research a wider model LS.

This issue isn't brand vs brand. It is physics.
