I have a model 149 hydrostatic cub cadet lawn tractor (1970's). I also have a cub cadet model 195350100 snowthrower which is approx. 15 years newer. How can I adapt this snowthrower to my tractor? Cub Cadet said it won't work but I believe it can with customizing. Help!

Wow! first I'd start by putting the larger wheel bearings in to carry the extra load because you are gaining a lot of weight. The belt width for the 350 model(that is the newer model number) vs the QA42 for the original blower is different. I haven't played with your new combination but I am inerested in if it is possible or can be adapted.

Is the 149 a narrow frame? If so, I have a 36" wide blower to fit it - if you are interested.

Many of the older single stage units were adaptable. But I tink a 149 is a little over kill for a 36" blower.

I think She would be best served getting a QA42 for her machine, but do it quick because whats around is going quick....less adaptation headache, and the QA42 works very well ( have it on a 125)

Does anyone have a picture of the adaptor to get the belt from the engine pulley to the snowblower?
