Hi everyone new member here. I have a new 2186 I was thinking of buying a bagger for it. What I want to know is do the baggers work very good or do i need to purches the commercial bagger with the extra side mount blower motor?

I have the triple bagger on a 54 inch deck on my 3235 and it works very well. The only problem is cutting wet grass which will cause the chute to plug up. I have an acre lot and once when the grass was wet I had to remove the chute almost every loop around the yard to clean out the grass. That has only happened a couple times in 1 year of use.

I also have a 2186 with triple bagger, used last fall for leave pickup and this spring for grass clippings, It works great for me, unless you are mowing a very large yard I think this would do you fine. The only plugging up problem I have had is when bags get full and plugs chute, depending on amount of lkeaves on ground plan on dumping bags often, with grass I mow my yard-3/4 acre and dump 2-3 times

I have a 2 bagger on a 2180. They work great. They pack the grass in and fill to overflowing. The grass has to be pretty wet to plug. A trick is after use to take a hose to the inside of the plastic chutes. Spray them down and you'll a lot of the grass off the inside of the tubes. Keeps the velocity up.

Just make sure you've got a place to dump the clippings! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
