Creating a Coffee Table for Steph

Oooo, I got a great idea, Eddie. You could have a very unique campground if every RV site had one of those tables.

Here are a few pics of the Scrapbook desk I made for my wife. It's not much but I'm plenty proud of how everything fit together square. It's actually much fuller with stuff on the table now and I have plans to build storage to go on top of the desk.

How do I add pictures as a link? I didn't plan on attaching them directly, but I see that is what happened. Sorry about that.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Now that we've had it awhile, we're really enjoying it. We eat dinner on it in the up position and kind of laugh at how we used to eat off the previous coffee table. It's funny what you get used to. hahahaha

After we eat, Steph pulls out her scrapbook stuff and starts working on another page. She's able to spread everything out in just a minute and when done, she can put it all away just as fast.

The house is now organized again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Staghead,

Thats a very nice job you did on the desk. Did you buy the router bit set for the raised panels? I have two sets that I use, but I've seen it done on a table saw too, but have never tried it that way myself. Nice touch making the sides raised panels too!!!!

When you build the shelves, be sure to update us with some pictures!!!

Thanks,
Eddie

I actually did use the tablesaw for making the raised panels...which led me to put getting raised panel bits for my router table high on my list of wants. Maybe it's how I approached it, but I just didn't feel very safe doing it that way. I am pleased with the results, though. I plan on a few more projects with raised panels, so the investment will be worth it.

I really think it is neat to see different approaches to build something for the same purpose. I really like the coffe table idea (looks really good too I might add).
