Was talking with a friend and I made the comment that I want this snow to go away so I can go baling again and he said I want to do it so bad that he could see me out there baling the snow, we both had a huge laugh about it but then it got me thinking, out of curiosity is it possible to bale snow?

I could see it possibly working if the snow wasn't hard packed and was fluffy that a large round baler should be able to do it cause it picks it up then rolls it like you would roll a snowball, then when full instead of tying it you could release it as is and it would be a snow bale.

Love to hear your input and comments on it and if it's been done if there is a video or pics of it.

It's just one of those things that I would never try but curious if it would work, cause you never know with some people today that someone might have thought of it and tried it.

Logically I don't see why it wouldn't work, but figured it would make a great conversation and a great way to start thinking about the snow melting and getting back into the fields.

Although the idea is a silly one, I'm scratching my head trying to figure out how he'd destroy anything by trying.

I don't think it would destroy a baler, no more than pressure washing it at the end of the season would.

Found this pic on the internet, and they didn't even use a baler (apparently it's all made my mother nature herself, guess she's sick of winter too?)
