Craigslist tractor scam?

Scams are for anything that costs several thousand or more that can be listed at too good to be true prices. This helps them complete one occasionally due to greed of the buyer. (complete before they wise up and Jack price to actual value)

I use Craigslist 3rd party app and look for same items listed in a wider area. Scams are listed everywhere and are obvious quickly. Just be careful sending your $ anywhere.

It's 1 thing to see it in person, it is a complete scam when seller requests transactions over the phone or through the mail. It is hard to believe people respond to these ads.

And then there's the fact that some people DO put ridiculously low prices on quality items that they legally own. I picked up a barely used freshly tuned 120 CC Stihl chainsaw in pristine condition WITH a chainsaw mill, bar, chain, carrying cases, tools for $450. I think his wife told him to get rid of it.

Notice when you want to see the tractor, it's always in a warehouse somewhere. Tell them you live a mile from that warehouse, an you will never hear from them again.
