Reading the article, it seems like they all should now be sent to their rooms until they learn to behave like civilized human beings.

I remember in civics class all of those years ago, (1971 +-) being told that our elected officials set higher standards for the rest of us to try to live up to.

Just one of the many lies they told you in school. Like in Civics class the USA is a "merit system" not "to the victors the spoils" like some countries.. Ha ha. Its dog eat dog and cat eat mouse.

SO I got the invite to go to the new site Muhammed has started up called top news. I registered as K0UA over there. Any of the rest of you going over?. I assume we all will get the invite. supposed to talk about current events and all. Which is all some of us do. some of us haven't posted in a tractor related thread for a LONG time. I at least help a guy start his tractor once in while.

That doesn't apply here. There was no lack of demand for products, until CV-19 came along. There still wouldn't be, if people weren't told to stay home. This isn't like 2009 when everybody was broke and the economy needed a jump start.

This isn't like 2009 when everybody was broke and the economy needed a jump start. People need cash for groceries, health insurance,... and toilet paper. Lots and lots of toilet paper. Giving money to people like me who don't need it is merely running up the national debt... ironically, with China holding the paper.

Looks like many I know will not be receiving checks... remember a family can qualify as low income in San Francisco with a 100k income.

Hard to believe but things are crazy expensive...

I don't begrudge those qualifying just saying the same situation as being laid off or finding yourself unemployed is not related to earnings...

Question for those better in the know...

Social Distancing, Stay at Home, etc... all make perfect sense to me.

That said, the media is pushing for people to support local businesses offering take out, curbside pickup and also home delivery.

Does this make sense or is it statistically safe?

NO WAY! I literally just watched the Big Guy on a daily briefing that this would not happen, and no one will have to pay for getting the virus, or pay for treatment. I believe the quote was, " we take care of our people "...
