I read that some people believe that we will need one or two more rounds of aid/stimulus before this is over. Have you noticed how fuzzy the numbers are? You could make a lot of millionaires with the rounding errors.

^^^^^

It also was long overdue for an adjustment... although not of this magnitude.

We can't even call this a recession; somebody just flipped a switch and shut the economy off.
Overreaction, as some are saying? Perhaps, but it hopefully will give the medical and manufacturing community time to prepare for those who will be needing their assistance.

If you have kept some of your financial powder dry there is probably going to be a very nice opportunity to invest in America if you can time it right.

Our medical resources have been overwhelmed by 1300 deaths and 2100 serious/critical cases. There are 6000 hospitals in our country.

The world have been overwhelmed by 25,000 deaths and 21,000 serous/critical cases.

These numbers cannot be correct....or are they? Numbers from:
Coronavirus Update (Live): 552,943 Cases and 25,45 Deaths from COVID-19 Virus Outbreak - Worldometer

The world survived H3N2 in 1968 and it killed 1MM. There was no internet in 1968, but we had TV. I would have been 18 then, but do not remember such wringing of hands. Did not have hand sanitizer or wipes either. Likely had more "important" things to distract me being young, and dumb, and full of c*m. Second generation ventilators came in the mid 1970's so I guess most people died without a lot of resources being "wasted". They knew how to have a "pandemic" back in the "good old days".

All of what you said baffles me as well.

I wonder, how many residents of New York State are on Hospice or in ICU with no COVID-19 in their system?

China to temporarily bar entry of foreigners to stop spread of coronavirus - Axios

The USA news media were removed for a reason. Keeping foreigners out near term was done for a reason. Again in time the truth will come out I expect. There are some wealthy movers and shakers in China that know they had a good thing going and the virus has screwed up some business deals. It will be interesting to me to see how free Tesla continues to operate in China.

keep them coming please

stay cool and spaced out

They didn't have a 24 hour news cycle to fret over back then either.

“The minister, he was shaking pretty much everybody’s hand, just giving the family comfort and condolences,” Mitchell’s niece Chiquita Coleman said. “The funeral home officiants, they were kind of doing the same thing. That’s kind of their job, to give comfort. So there was a lot of touching and hugging and hand-shaking.”

Unlike The Florence mayor and his "hug a Chinese" campaign. we all need to go to NYC and "hug a New Yorker" right now to show our solidarity with the big apple.

People, we need to stop going to funerals. Stop going to weddings, stop going to Mardi Gras, stop going to spring break, and for darn sure stop licking toilet seats!

Don't think so ... maybe if one has a particular skill set (medical, etc.) that is needed and would be useful, one could lend a hand ... mebbe demonstrate some of that "running to sound of gunfire" that internet chest-thumpers seem so fond of ...

Otherwise, stay home ... stay isolated.

At least for a while ...

Describe it however you want, but read the story about Albany, Ga. posted above and if you continue to feel the same way you're identifying yourself as a foolish or gullible person. Be very careful with what you do, you may become a statistic.

I read it, I am not even talking about the actual ones, I am talking about all the fake news alarmists that have to post every tidbit whether it has been vetted or not
