My roof plow.
I was hoping that the snow would come off my new "lean to" across the back of my shop, but at just under 3/12 pitch, nope! At about mid (snow) season I got on the roof with a snow shovel and after a very short time shoveling, I quickley came up with this idea for an add on to the jib pole that I had previously made. The plow "blade" is a 2x12 that can swivel up and down so that it does not rip the metal off the roof! I had wifey take pictures of me so that I could see what was going on because I couldn't see anything but the top of the 2 driveway markers that are attached. :confused2:

View attachment 229905Heres me shedding the barn roof. After it sheds, theres about 4-5 hours work needed to remove the snow so its ready for the next blast. The only ones truly enjoying the snow are the dogs...the lazy beasts.

Some of these pics blow my mind. We got a 24" snow storm here last year. It pretty much shut everything down for 1 day, and school was closed for 2 days. I don't know if I could deal with getting that much snow several times in the winter.

Last year i went to bed with 6" of snow on the ground and woke up to 36-40" on the ground overnight. None of the talking heads on TV predicted that. took all day to move it all.

Nice!! What size Grizz?? You plow in 3wd, or use diff lock?? EPS??

660cc, Mostly just in 4wd. I save locking the diff for bad spots and what not. Plus if I get stuck in 4wd, I can usually get out once I lock the diff, so its a safety feature. You should see some of the places I plow with it. Last year one of my customers ask me to plow a new spot out so he could get to his wood pile. He watched me back up the hill after making a past. He said the back tires were off the ground...:confused2:

I can probably post video of some plowing last year.

Cant wait to get pictures of my F350 in the winter.

That would be great. I am considering a 450 Grizz(Kodiak) myself. Would go 550, but they are $2K more than the 450, but I can get into a Polaris Sportsman 550 Base for a few hundred over the Grizz 450. I really like the 450 though, so tough dilemma. But the 550 Sporty can do a little more work than the 450, still a tough call.

Beautiful horses,,,,,!,,,,,had my first winter on the mountaintop last year, was glad to have a cub SCUT, and that tractor was nice enough to not blow the tranny until spring,,,,,so I could convince the mrs that we needed a new Kubota B 2920,,and I just happened across a brand new 60" 3pt blower for $1,000

So I will be happy this year,,,,:)
