Got invaded a few weeks ago. This is about 2/3rd of them in the pic. I herded them off to the woods.
What type of fish are they?

Speckled trout. Very good eating. What type of fish are they?
I think it's a fish that lives in salt water but travels into brackish waters and estuaries. Only reason I know is because I used to watch a lot of fishing shows. From the pics, I thought you were fishing in the ocean.
could I get your daughter's number?Tried to get a few good pics of pelican on a fishing trip Sunday morning.

@MossRoad is correct. The area we were fishing is known as Big Lake. It is south of Lake Charles, LA. and very near the Gulf Of America. We have also caught redfish, flounder, sand trout and a few others in this area. We have also caught plenty of Speckled Trout out in the gulf, which is only a few miles from Big Lake. My son in law is a professional fishing guide and he fishes mostly in Big Lake, as do many other guides.I think it's a fish that lives in salt water but travels into brackish waters and estuaries. Good for you and your wife! Fun! My wife would have taken so much time to get out of the house, she would have missed it. I don't know if anyone has ever been late to a wedding, but my wife is so slow that one time we not only missed a wedding, we missed the reception. That was when we were young and 45 years later, some things never changeMy wife's first name starts with the letter A.
One year, on her birthday, I went outside and saw this in the sky. I ran inside and told her to come outside! Come outside!!
She runs out there and I pointed up in the sky and told her "I wanted to buy a sky writer for her birthday but could only afford one letter. Hope you aren't disappointed"
Without missing a beat, she said "Awww, you're so nice." gave me a big kiss and started laughing. Now I send it to her every year on her birthday.

My wife was late to our wedding, and she was in the same building as me. I think she was just trying to see how I handled stress. It was a hot August day.....I don't know if anyone has ever been late to a wedding, but my wife is so slow that one time we not only missed a wedding, we missed the reception. That was when we were young and 45 years later, some things never change. Oh well.
My standard saying is "My wife will be late to my funeral and hers". I have after over 50 years learned I either accept we will be late or more times than not tell her we have to be where ever 30 to 45 minutes before we actually do. Doing that mostly gets us there ON TIME.Good for you and your wife! Fun! My wife would have taken so much time to get out of the house, she would have missed it. One thing my wife has learned is to not to be late for church. I'd just leave without her if I couldn't be 20 minutes early. And since I do the cooking, I just ate out before I came home and she went to bed hungry those days. It only happened a few times. Everything else I have more tolerance for, but I HATE getting to church late. Something I learned from my mother. My standard saying is "My wife will be late to my funeral and hers". Discussion has moved way off of nature pics to fact of nature
