The last time a bald eagle was sighted here was 1959. Now there is a nest 1/2 mile away. They're back.

Nice! I haven't been there for probably 18 years. It was the last vacation we used a film camera on.

Bald Eagle population is pretty big and growing in my area. But yes 40 years ago they were pretty rare.
