Mark, if you start tryin' to get mortgage free this late in life, about the only sure-fire way I've seen involves a shopping cart, a beard, likely a puppy, a piece of cardboard, magic marker, and hopefully a non-leaky bridge

ISteve

This is a pic of me on the poster my daughter sent out shorty after I prepaid her Grade seven tuition. She was asking for help in locating me when she realized I was two weeks behind in allowance. Kids.......

OK, there've been a couple requests for "the rest of the joke", one being from my "elder"; so it's possible that this could over-ride Mrs. Bukit's request ("Please do NOT encourage the CRAZY man...")

Fair warning though; even tho there's no profanity, some parts are NOT for the squeamish - if that's YOU, and your curiosity STILL gets the better of you, it's NOT my problem

A more than slightly aggressive business man finally reaches the end of his time on Earth, and not surprisingly ends up in "the OTHER place" - he's met by Mr. Evil hisself, every bit as scary as advertised...

Satan shows him 3 doors, labeled 1, 2, and 3 - he's told he gets to CHOOSE, and that in all fairness, he gets to PREVIEW what's behind each door before he chooses - but ONCE HE CHOOSES, IT'S FOREVER...

That sounds fair, so he opens door#1 - inside, he sees some REALLY unhappy looking people standing CHIN-DEEP in raw sewage, and a couple of Demons in speedboats, racing around making big wakes  - needless to say, he IMMEDIATELY requests to see door#2...

Behind door#2, there's MORE unhappy people, but they're only KNEE-DEEP in the same stuff

Encouraged, our expired business man asks about door#3 - once inside, there's still MORE people - they're only ANKLE-DEEP in the same stuff, and they're standing around talking and drinking tea

Looks like a No-Brainer to Mr. Business man, so he immediately tells Satan "Door#3, no question!!"
The door slams shut, and Satan's voice reverberates thru the brimstone, (Insert previous "punch line" here :D)

There; don't say I didn't WARN ya  - Y'all have a good weekend... Steve

I went to Lowes yesterday just so I could look at the dishwasher's height and underneath at the adjustable feet and see whats what, but theirs are under mock up counters so I couldn't get a good look at whats underneath. So after that I stopped at local appliance store to see if I could get more intel but they wanted to celebrate veterans day yesterday to, maybe I'll have to try again, until then I'll try to get some intel on here, it's working already, I'm already getting nervous.

What I read and watched on youtube sofar is it's suppose to be level, well if there adjustable feet in back and on front, once in place how does one adjust the feet or if I took them out, get them back in, so's to get the washer level-ish?

Wonder if my wife would be just as happy with a frying pan for Christmas.......................

We just bought and installed a new replacement dishwasher. And of course, had the same concerns. As it turns out we slid the dishwasher into the opening, adjusted the front two feet for height and level. The back feet are connected to each other and the adjustment is from the front with a single rod going to the back. The fear of not being able to adjust the back while inside the opening was all for naught.

I always had trouble with log jokes because of my short attention span I never get them, read it twice and still what, maybe it's a true story........

Two blonds were at a lake, one was getting a sun tan, the other blond was across the lake hollering, How do I get to the other side of the lake? The blond that was getting a sun tan hollered back, YOU ARE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE LAKE.

Now for the more educated people>>>>>>Why'd the turkey cross the road??????????

I chicken out this year, just didn't want to take the chance of having to rip out cupboards that has a granite counter top because of the added on floor which left a 33-1/8" opening.

Are you saying that you have a added on floor and what model did you get that has the adjustment on front with a rod going to the back feet? Maybe all dishwashers have adjustment on front for the back feet, after some more latter on investigation I'll a temp it next year.

I was trying to, just to see what the OP is up to. I seen the weather to night and looked kinda bad up there, are you affected by any storms where you are?

Oh yeah we are getting more than our fair share of rain (about 1.5in per day the last 4 days) and some wind lately! I imagine Bukit is getting wet as well.

Edit: Just looked at my rain gauge and is says the rate as we speak is 0.31in per hour!

Wow that sounds like a lot of rain to me, good news is no forest fire danger, bad news Santa might have to bring back Rudolf this year and Rudolf is a Unionized Reindeer, your Christmas present might cost more............Hang in there.

Yup, that "70 degrees/calm/dry weather" wasn't particularly appreciated, either by me OR our poor (last) pie cherry tree, OR the clear plastic part of my "wrap-around tent" -
IMG_20181217_142818706.jpg 'bout the only thing I've gotten done lately is to put a new tarp up on the WEATHER end of the small container roof; the typical "horizontal rain" only leaves maybe HALF of the 14'x24' covered area actually DRY otherwise - IMG_20181217_142952270.jpg

Now maybe I can get a few things done on both cars WITHOUT needing SCUBA gear

Not quite as wet as DragonEggs' place, we only got just over an inch of rain today :D...Steve

"Not quite as wet as DragonEggs' place"

I usually try NOT to quote myself, rather quote somebody that MIGHT know what they're talkin' about

But... you'd think that after 73 years I'd have learned NOT to challenge Ma Nature that blatantly - woke up this morning to overflowing gutters, and more leaks in my assorted "long term temporary" shelters than I had buckets for (both orange AND blue ones  )

Managed to get the IMPORTANT ones under control (AKA "buckets), AND get fans on most of the parts that should NOT stay wet; all this BEFORE my first (and ONLY) cuppa coffee

Naturally (pun intended) the rain backed off to its USUAL level just AFTER I finished

I'm thinkin' that if there gets to be any MORE alligators in this swamp I'm tryin' to drain, maybe they'll start eatin' EACH OTHER and I might get ahead - OOPS, coffee just kicked in; SCRATCH that last thought

Oh well, "they" say challenges build character; and IMO, BRING 'EM ON - in today's world who'd even WANNA be "normal" ??!?

:D:D:D:D:D:D ...Steve

Less rain here than Mark’s and probably about the same as Steve’s.

Here’s a view of the farm this morning from my shop.

I’ll have to check to see if there’s any government grants for land based fish farms. Gotta keep the environmentalists happy....

I think Terry's Geese are already planting plenty of 'berries'! And I bet his slug population is down.

Now if that was pie making apple tree then that would be a case for suing mother nature, cherry tree, not so much even George Washington didn't like cherry trees mostly because his mother kept making pies from them and the seeds ruined his teeth so ole George had to make new ones so he could cross the Delaware river and MAG.......................When I first heard of the bad weather up your neck of the woods I was thinking of those big trees around your house, that would cause some major rework, but the good news is your house is paid for.............
